Library at Café KIMM
“Books are like magic carpets that take you to fantastic worlds.” (Tschingis Aitmatow) In our times that are fast-paced and hardly ever leave enough time to sit back and relax, we want to create a place for literary discussions, inspiration and informal get-togethers with our library at the café Kimm. Our public book chest offers you an entrance to new worlds full of exciting adventures and time travel to “faraway worlds, away from the parlours and across the stars”. (Jean Paul)
A public book chest? What's that?
The entrance to our cosy Café Kimm and Restaurant Tiatta has been flanked by two public book chests since late 2016. They invite you to take a book but also to leave one behind – like this you can exchange literature without any admin or formalities.
We are open 365 days a year from 07.00 AM to 11.00 PM.
Literary delights and surprises
To date, our public book chest has been well accepted and frequented. We are happy to see the support that made our library grow so it can now provide to all those who like to read. Many an adventurous story has been passed on from one owner to the next. We have a wide range covering classics from around the world to great works by Austrian writers to exciting crime stories and page-turners for every taste as well as books for children and teens.
